For Tradeline Buyers

Understand the tradeline before you buy

Evolv's marketplace lets eligible signed-in users compare available authorized-user tradelines by details such as bank, age, limit, price, and reporting cadence. Start with the facts—not a promised score.

Marketplace access and checkout require an Evolv account and may depend on your plan.

What an authorized-user tradeline is

You are added as an authorized user to another person's established revolving account for a defined term. You do not receive the primary cardholder's account access, spending authority, or ownership.

Compare the listing

Review the account's stated age, credit limit, price, bank, available spots, and expected reporting information.

Verify your identity

Accurate personal information and identity verification are required before an authorized-user request can be submitted.

Allow for reporting

Banks and bureaus control whether and when account data appears. Statement cycles and cut-off dates can affect timing.

The buyer journey

1

Review your broader credit picture

A tradeline does not replace on-time payments, low utilization, accurate reporting, budgeting, or addressing inaccurate negative items.

2

Sign in and browse current inventory

Marketplace inventory, pricing, and availability can change. Filter available listings and compare the disclosed details.

3

Confirm the order details

Read the term, price, expected cadence, and checkout disclosures before paying. Ask questions if anything is unclear.

4

Monitor all relevant reports

If the account reports, compare what appears at each bureau and keep your records. Reporting can differ by bureau.

Important limitations

Authorized-user accounts can affect credit files, but the result is individual and outside any marketplace's full control.

No score increase is guaranteed

Scoring models weigh files differently, and some lenders or models may reduce or disregard authorized-user history. Evolv cannot predict a point change or approval.

Reporting is not guaranteed

Banks, furnishers, and credit bureaus control acceptance, timing, matching, and display. A listing's expected cadence is not a promise that every bureau will report it.

It does not erase negative information

Adding an authorized-user account does not remove accurate late payments, collections, charge-offs, inquiries, or other negative items.

The relationship may be temporary

Many placements are rental-based. When the term ends, removal may change what appears on your reports and how a score is calculated.

Make an informed decision

Consider the cost, your current file, and your goal. A tradeline is not a loan, credit-repair service, lender endorsement, or substitute for financial advice. Never provide false information or use a tradeline to misrepresent your creditworthiness.
